She studied electrical engineering and robotics at the University of Pennsylvania and sang with the Penn Jazz Ensemble before moving to San Francisco and working as an Engineering Program Manager at Apple. She began performing her own songs at open mics. One night a stranger filmed her singing her original “Low” and shared it on r/sanfrancisco, where listeners responded to her voice and stage presence.

Lola Florial is a San Francisco-based jazz-pop singer and songwriter with a voice rooted in vintage soul. Drawn to intimate storytelling and timeless melodies, she makes music for quiet moments that linger.
She studied electrical engineering and robotics at the University of Pennsylvania, where she sang with the Penn Jazz Ensemble. After graduating she moved to San Francisco and worked as an Engineering Program Manager at Apple, writing lyrics late at night and taking her first original songs to open mics around the city.
At one open mic, a stranger filmed her performing her original song “Low” and shared it on r/sanfrancisco. Listeners praised her voice and stage presence, with some drawing comparisons to Amy Winehouse and Billie Holiday.
Her sound lives in the space between eras, shaped by Billie Holiday, Sade, Amy Winehouse, Chet Baker, Norah Jones, and Ella Fitzgerald. Jazz-inflected melodies meet modern production; intimate lyrics float over arrangements that feel both lush and restrained. It is music for late nights, for slow dances, for moments you want to remember.
Her debut EP, “If You Have to Ask,” was released on July 24, 2026 on Bluest Blue Records — four songs about love, longing, and learning to trust the quiet.
